existence. Photos and artifacts about steamboats, the bridge, channeling the river,
river recreation, the waterworks, and floods tell the story.

BUSCH BREWERY EXHIBIT:
Did you know that the first Busch Beer was made right here in Washington?
John B. Busch started the brewery in 1854 before younger brother Adolphus
was in business in St. Louis. Come and learn about the original!

ZITHERS:
This unusual musical instrument was taken to a new level of excellence by
Zither King Franz Schwarzer. On display are many different types of zithers as well
as other stringed instruments made at his factory in Washington. A video tells the
story of their world famous creator and his creation.

CORN COB PIPES:
Washington is the corn cob pipe capital of the world and this exhibit
chronicles the development of its pipe manufacturing.
